Tired of crowds and the hitting the same old stores? Ditch the mall and bring your BFFs to a local trunk show – an intimate shopping event where you can sip wine, enjoy appetizers, and even sit front and center at a fashion show.

In addition to food and wine, trunk shows are a fun way to discover original products, from jewelry and shoes to the latest styles in day, evening and sports apparel – most of which you won’t find at your shopping mall. At a recent show in San Diego, for instance, shoppers got an exclusive look at a variety of products by local independent designers and were also treated to a fashion show sponsored by Diamond Dust. What’s more, trunk shows also provide an opportunity to meet the designers behind the brand. Christina Zeller, the talented designer of Vivacity’s golf, tennis and yoga apparel, especially loves trunk shows because they provide an opportunity to get to know the women that wear Vivacity and offer her styling tips and fashion insight.

Almost as comfortable as your own living room, trunk shows allow for a personalized shopping experience and memorable time with your besties. One of our favorite parts? The goody bags! After all, what gal doesn’t love a bag full of makeup and skincare samples?
